I missed the inside of the station also when I visited (and had to avoid some exterior angles) due to an event being held there, but agree that it is really nice to see it being used. It is one of the few remaining really nice MN west of Hudson stations. NJ Transit still has many of the old Erie stations (Hillsdale & Park Ridge on the PVL are probably my favorites, and were both unlocked the weekend I visited), but agree they don’t really fit on a Metro-North blog. Still if you haven’t seen them and you find yourself bored one weekend, it might be worth taking a ride over.

Hello – Bill Sweet here – I’m the President of the Tuxedo Chamber of Commerce, and a trustee with both the Tuxedo Historical Society and Tuxedo Park Library.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your post – especially the old photos!

Hope you had a great trip.

Let me know the next time you’re around.

I drive up to Harriman with my wife and head over to Woodbury Commons. So we take Rte 17 and go thru the small towns. It’s always a pleasure to see the Tuxedo Station, but one day I will pull over and check it out when I get the chance.
