In reply to JP Martin. On the Harlem Line, there is no bar car. I think the New Haven Line is actually the only place in the country where they still have a bar car. Thanks for the comments!

Back in the day my husband and I rode the line from Wingdale/Pawling to NYC. We owned an ad agency. Thanks for the site and NYT for bringing it to my attention. Brought back memories…chess playing, book reading, yes, the bar car (does that still exist?). Seeing the sights through Harlem and 125th St. Now we’re in Phoenix OMG what a difference.
