Maud S.&#039;s &quot;grandfather&quot; was the famous &quot;Hambletonian&quot;, the horse that&#039;s responsible for most, if not all, of the today&#039;s Standardbred horses, and the horse for which the Hambletonian Stakes harness race is named. Her father was &quot;Harold&quot;, which give a whole new meaning to &quot;Harold and Maud&quot;.
