The Historical Archives are being replaced by a new system called SmartCat. SmartCat is a much nicer way to search view our collection of timetables, ads, maps, tickets, and more. The items found there are also of a much higher quality. Although these archives have been deprecated in favor of the new system, you can still find some of the older, lower quality (and thus not transferred to the SmartCat system) newspaper articles below (they were too good to delete outright).
My name is Emily, though I am known by many who ride the train simply as Cat Girl, for the hats I customarily wear during the winter time. I am a graphic designer, a Metro North train rider, and a person that has always been interested in history. For the past 4 years I've been a regular commuter, though I've been a Harlem Line rider all my life. This site is a collection of my usually train-related thoughts, observations, photographs, and travels, as well as my never-ending hunt for intriguing historical artifacts.
Sometimes I have major brain farts. Cass Elliott totally was not the architect for New Haven Union Station. Cass Gilbert, perhaps.about 1 hour agoReplyRetweetFavorite
